MRI Technologist- PRN

About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and professional MRI Technologist - PRN to join our MRI department on a per diem basis. We have 5 MRI locations throughout the metro Atlanta area. All locations operate with Siemens MRI Machines.

Hours available are 7 days a week; hours vary from 8-12 hour shifts.

In this role, you will utilize your expertise in medical imaging to support patient care by producing high-quality MRI scans and ensuring patient safety and comfort during the imaging process. This position requires flexible availability to meet our department's needs.

What You'll Dos

• Perform high-quality MRI imaging procedures as prescribed by a physician.
• Explain imaging procedures to patients and ensure their comfort and safety during the scan.
• Operate and monitor MRI equipment to obtain accurate diagnostic results.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety and infection control protocols.
• Review images for quality assurance and collaborate with radiologists for interpretation.
• Keep up-to-date records of imaging procedures and patient interactions in compliance with confidentiality standards.
• Troubleshoot basic equipment issues and report any malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
• Demonstrate proficiency in maintaining patient monitoring during procedures when necessary.

Qualifications

• Active certification as an MRI Technologist (ARRT MRI certification preferred).
• Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program.
• Valid state licensure, as required by jurisdictional regulations.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working with MRI imaging systems.
• Strong understanding of MRI physics, safety protocols, and contrast administration.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide compassionate patient care.
• Flexibility with scheduling, including availability for per diem shifts.
• Proficient in operating and troubleshooting modern MRI equipment.
• Basic understanding of electronic health record (EHR) systems.
