Job Description:
ASTEC Charter Schools is seeking a passionate High School English Teacher to join our team for the remainder of the 2023-2024 school year. As a member of our faculty, you will have the opportunity to work with exceptional scholars in grades 6 through 12.

Qualifications:

• Professional demeanor and dedication to education


• Proficiency in utilizing technology for teaching purposes


• Strong organizational skills


• Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, administrators, and students


• Experience in classroom management


• Comprehensive knowledge of subject matter and state standards


• Proven teaching skills

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging curriculum to high school students


• Create detailed lesson plans that align with educational objectives and state standards


• Regularly assess student progress and communicate with parents/guardians


• Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students


• Evaluate the effectiveness of teaching materials and programs


• Demonstrate understanding of modern educational theories and practices


• Handle emergency situations, including security issues, with professionalism and efficiency

Benefits:

• Competitive salary ranging from $3,000 to $11,000 above state minimum salaries
