Delaney Computer Services (DCS) is a Northern New Jersey–based Managed IT Services Provider serving small and mid-sized businesses throughout the New York Metro area. We deliver managed IT, cybersecurity, cloud, and professional services to clients who depend on us to keep their businesses operational and secure.

We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Billing & Operations Specialist to replace a long-tenured team member who is retiring in April. This is an opportunity to modernize and elevate our billing operations with someone comfortable in a professional services / MSP environment.

This is an in-office position. Remote candidates will not be considered.

Position Overview

The MSP Billing & Operations Specialist is responsible for managing all client invoicing, contract billing, and related financial administration within our PSA (Autotask) and QuickBooks Online environments.

MSP billing is not generic bookkeeping. It involves recurring service agreements, usage-based billing, project work, vendor pass-through costs, licensing reconciliation, and contract nuances. The right candidate understands the complexity and can manage it without constant escalation.

You will serve as the internal authority on billing accuracy and a direct point of contact for clients who have invoice or contract questions.

Core Responsibilities

  • Manage and process monthly recurring service agreement (MSA) billing
  • Invoice project-based and transactional work (hardware, software, renewals, domains, etc.)
  • Reconcile vendor invoices and licensing to client agreements
  • Maintain billing accuracy within Autotask PSA and QuickBooks Online
  • Audit contracts and ensure billing aligns with contract terms
  • Resolve billing discrepancies proactively
  • Communicate directly with clients regarding invoice questions, service relationships, and contract terms
  • Identify when issues require escalation to management and when they can be handled independently
  • Continuously improve billing processes and documentation

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of billing experience in a professional services, MSP, or IT services environment
  • Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online
  • Experience with PSA systems (Autotask experience strongly preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to understand contract-based billing
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and process discipline
  • Comfortable working in an office environment full-time
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of outcomes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior MSP billing experience
  • Experience with recurring revenue models
  • Understanding of licensing, cloud subscriptions, and vendor reconciliation
  • Experience explaining complex invoices to small business owners
  • Familiarity with service agreements and contract structures
