If you want to be part of an inclusive, adaptable, and forward-thinking organization, apply now.\n\nWe are currently seeking a Multi-Cloud Lead SQL/Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team in Austin, Texas (US-TX), United States (US).\n\nPosition Overview:\n\nWe are seeking a highly skilled Multi-Cloud Lead SQL Database Administrator (DBA) to manage and optimize SQL and object database environments across Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and having secondary skills in Oracle Database administration. This role will focus on provisioning, performance tuning, high availability, backup, and security of SQL databases and cloud-native object databases in a multi-cloud environment, supporting mission-critical applications and analytics platforms.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nSQL Database Administration:\n\nProvision, configure, and maintain SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Oracle DB instances in AWS RDS/Aurora, Azure SQL Database, GCP Cloud SQL/AlloyDB, and OCI Autonomous Database.\n\nDesign and implement high-availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions (e.g., multi-AZ, failover groups, cross-region replication).\n\nPerform database backup, restore, patching, and upgrade operations across all cloud platforms.\n\nMonitor and tune database performance using cloud-native monitoring tools and traditional database performance tools.\n\nCreate Linked Servers to SQL Servers and other databases such as Oracle, Access, Informix etc.\n\nEnsure all key databases have deep insight monitoring enabled to enable improved capabilities around fault detection\n\nCloud Object Database Management:\n\nManage and optimize cloud-native object databases:\n\nAWS DynamoDB\n\nAzure Cosmos DB\n\nGoogle Cloud Firestore / Bigtable\n\nOracle NoSQL Database Cloud Service\n\nImplement best practices for partitioning, indexing, throughput provisioning, and capacity management.\n\nEstablish lifecycle management policies for object data, backup strategies, and encryption.\n\nAutomation and Infrastructure-as-Code:\n\nAutomate database provisioning and configuration using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Azure ARM/Bicep templates, GCP Deployment Manager, and OCI Resource Manager.\n\nImplement CI/CD pipelines for database schema changes using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Cloud Build.\n\nSecurity and Compliance:\n\nEnforce database security policies, encryption (at rest and in transit), and access controls via IAM roles/policies across all clouds.\n\nSupport audits by ensuring logging, alerting, and compliance with industry standards (HIPAA, PCI, SOC2).\n\nCollaboration and Support:\n\nWork closely with cloud engineers, DevOps teams, data analysts, and application developers to support development and production environments.\n\nParticipate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical systems.\n\nAssist the support staff to troubleshoot Oracle, SQL and any other database errors.\n\nStrong expertise in managing SQL Server databases with full managed services, including database backup/restore, HA, DR, patching, tuning, maintanance, security, networking, optimization, troubleshooting, ETL, monitoring\n\nBe able to build up and manage PaaS databases in AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI in SQL databases\n\nParticipating in DR (Disaster Recovery)/COB (Continuity of Business) plans\n\nDocument all database configurations, processes, and policies.\n\nRequired Qualifications:\n\nPrimary: SQL\n\nSecondary: Oracle, Exadata\n\n10+ years of experience as a SQL DBA in enterprise environments.\n\n4+ years of experience as a Oracle DBA\n\n3+ years of hands-on experience managing SQL databases in AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI.\n\nStrong experience with AWS RDS/Aurora, Azure SQL Database, GCP Cloud SQL/AlloyDB, and OCI Autonomous Database.\n\nWorking knowledge of DynamoDB, Cosmos DB, Firestore/Bigtable, Oracle NoSQL Database.\n\nProficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers.\n\nSolid understanding of cloud security principles, IAM, and encryption mechanisms.\n\nExperience with Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\nMCTS, MCITP certifications\n\nOracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Oracle Certified Expert (OCE) credentials is a plus\n\nCertifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Database Specialty, Azure Database Administrator Associate, Google Professional Cloud Database Engineer, OCI Database Cloud Professional).\n\nExperience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other message queuing systems.\n\nKnowledge of DataOps practices and database CI/CD pipelines.\n\nFamiliarity with Kubernetes and database operators (e.g., AWS RDS Operator, Azure Arc Data Services).\n\nAbout NTT DATA\n\nNTT DATA is a $30 + billion business and technology services leader, serving 75% of the Fortune Global 100.
