Multi-craft Maintenance Employee

General Purpose of the Position:

This   position provides preventive maintenance and on call support for all   manufacturing equipment within the facility

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Primary job duties will be electrical (up to 480 VAC, 3   Ph.) and electronic. 

• Secondary responsibilities will be mechanical. Work with AC and DC variable speed drives,   power distribution, electrical and control logic diagrams, National Electric   Code and electric and pneumatic industrial instruments and control   devices. 

• Must   be familiar with PLC controls and ladder logic

• Must   be able to read electrical and pneumatic schematics.

Skills and Abilities Required:

Electrical,   Electronic and Mechanical skills are required and must be demonstrated.

Effective   written and oral communication skills

Able to work   well with minimal supervision

Ability to   prioritize tasks and follow specified procedures

Computer Equipment and Software Requirements:

Must   be familiar with PLC controls and ladder logic

Contacts:

Supervision,   hourly personnel and plant management

Effort / Working Environment:

• This job also requires working in an industrial   environment. 

• Climbing stairs, ladders and working from elevated   platforms. 

• Equipment repairs may require lifting of parts and tools   in an overhead position. 

• Sometimes working in tight quarters.

• Lifting weights of up to 50 pounds to positions varying   from floor to overhead positions.

• This position rotates weekly 11:00 pm - 7:00 am, 3:00 pm   - 11:00 pm, and 7:00 am - 3:00 pm, Mon. – Fri. and some Sat. as   scheduled. 

• Strict adherence to attendance policy required. 

Requirements

Education and Experience Requirements:

5   years’ experience in industrial multi-craft maintenance must be able to read  electrical and pneumatic schematics.
