KAW NATION POSITION DESCRIPTION

TITLE:                                               Multi-Purpose Aide/Back-up Cook (Childcare)

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR:           Child Care Office Manager

CONTROLLING SUPERVISOR:      Kaw Nation Education Services Director

STATUS:                                            Full-Time

LOCATION:                                      Newkirk, OK

QUALIFICATIONS:

Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED. Must have the ability to clean as directed, assist in classrooms when needed and function in a kitchen with little to no supervision. Lifting and bending may be involved on a continuous basis. Two years’ previous experience in a childcare setting is preferred. Must have valid Drivers License.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Keep assigned area sanitized, vacuumed, and trash emptied. Assist with all deep cleaning duties when requested.
Ensures that janitorial/housekeeping supplies are replenished and notifies Supervisor when anything needs replaced. Work harmoniously with all co-workers.
Clean and sanitize bathrooms daily.
Mop and sweep tile floors daily.
Vacuum all carpeted areas and clean carpet on a regular schedule.
Assist all teachers with lunches, breaks and fill-in where needed.
Backup Cook position, when needed, will prepare a pre-planned menu, deliver meals and snacks to classrooms and assist with cleaning duties related to the kitchen.
Report any problem that should require knowledge of specific training to repair or correct to Immediate Supervisor.
Ability to lift at least 25 pounds and move freely without restriction.
Assist with/complete any other job duties that might be assigned.
