Municipal Civil Engineer – Engineer-In-Training / Professional Engineer 

Location: La Grande, OR

While applying technical civil engineering knowledge and skills, this position may include: 

• Plan, design and implement critical community infrastructure projects including water, wastewater, roadways, stormwater, public parks, and general civil engineering.
• Play key roles in all phases of project planning, design, and construction management.
• Analyze engineering data, interpret plans and specifications, and make sound decisions.
• Partner with senior engineers and project managers for reporting, design, and construction phase services to enhance public infrastructure.
• Collaborate with government agencies for permits, crossing agreements, easements, encroachments, and other necessary requirements.
• Facilitate public meetings, public forums, and open houses to discuss project details and answer questions from the public.
• Organize and conduct meetings with consulting partners, contractors, clients, and agencies.
• Utilize design tools such as AutoCAD Civil3D, Microsoft Excel, WaterCAD, ArcGIS Pro, and InfoSWMM.
• Project management including oversight of budget, design team, schedule, and coordination of deliverables and milestones with clients. 

Requirements

• 0-8 years of experience with “EI” or “PE” licensure in Oregon State or able to obtain licensure within 90 days of hire.
• Experience with Bentley and AutoCAD software platforms is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with a variety of co-workers and teams.

Compensation: $70,000 – $125,000 annually, determined by experience.
