Muschlitz Excavating, a leader in the Site Development and Excavating industry, is looking to add a Project Estimator to its team. The Project Estimator will be responsible for the preparation and development of bid proposals and related cost estimates. The Project Estimator should have extensive knowledge of construction means & methods, costs, and engineering principles. Position Responsibilities:

• Review of project plans and documents
• Perform accurate take-offs
• Obtain quotes from vendors and suppliers
• Proficiently prepare thorough and accurate bids for projects
• Work closely with Chief Estimator to finalize proposals
• Present bid proposals to clients in a professional manner
• Negotiate with clients to win projects
• Attend and participate in job meetings when necessary
• Communicate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure the company is receiving the best values available
• Communicate and interact with clients to better serve their needs
• Always promote the general well-being of the company
• Maintain a positive, professional, and team/company-oriented attitude
• Always hold the company in the highest regard
  

Qualifications: BS in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or related field preferred but not necessary. 5-10 years' experience as an Estimator on heavy civil related projects required. Utilities construction a plus. Experience with specialized software such as B2W, Agtek, Bluebeam, MS Project, MS Office or similar.
