Music Teacher at Gateway Middle School - 2025-2026

Middle School Music Teacher Responsibilities:

• Plan and teach music classes to 6th, 7th and 8th grade students, foster music skills, appreciation and creativity
  


• Teach students skills in music understanding and instrumental music 
  


• Prepare students for performances and school events as appropriate
  


• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and skills
  


• Collaborate with other subject areas on cross-curricular themes and projects
  


• Collaborate with other staff to analyze student learning, differentiate instruction and build a positive school culture
  


• Serve as an advisory teacher for a daily Advisory group
  

Compensation Range:

• Commensurate with experience and FTE level, based on a full-time salary scale, for credentialed teachers, of $85,000 -$110,000

Qualifications:

• Commitment to Gateway's mission is essential, including a desire to work with a diverse student body


• Strong desire to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and students


• Experience teaching music classes to middle school age students


• Current CA credential or eligibility & willingness to earn one (Music Credential or Supplementary Authorization in Music)
