Job Description - MVCA Sales Specialist

Eaton\u2019s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a MVCA Sales Specialist. This position offers a HYBRID work schedule of 2 days work from home and 3 days office at our Eaton Asheville (Arden) NC facility. Relocation assistance will also be provided, if needed. \n\nWe are searching for a driven technical sales specialist to join our MVCA team. The technical sales specialist should have a clear understanding of medium voltage drives and their applications and have the ability to demonstrate how they work. The responsibilities would include establishing the needs of the customer and recommending and demonstrating products based on different applications. \n \nTo be a successful technical sales specialist, the candidate should be able to develop an excellent rapport with existing customers and be able to identify and source new customers. The qualified technical sales specialist should be knowledgeable about drive products and have the ability to break down technical terminology to non-technical customers.\n\nThe expected annual salary range for this role is $113000 - $165000 a year. \n\nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nIn this role:\n\n\u2022 Responsible for achieving the assigned sales goals. \n\u2022 Optimize sales volume, product mix and profit margin, while increasing Medium Voltage Drive sales in the marketplace. \n\u2022 Manage all aspects of the customer relationship, provide sales and technical assistance with customers, end users, and specifiers. Identify target customers, specifiers and OEM\u0027s for Medium Voltage Drive sales and create and execute sales plan to drive MVD growth. \n\u2022 Drive market analysis, positioning, coverage planning, and value proposition creation. \n\u2022 Responsible for leading the effort to generate, validate, and execute the value propositions for the Medium Voltage Drives Market. \n\u2022 Lead the effort in the development of solution sales in order to meet or exceed the sales objectives of the Medium Voltage Drives Product Line. \n\u2022 Provide expert knowledge in value/solution based selling as well as a strong understanding of the Medium Voltage Drives products. \n\u2022 Lead/Support sales training efforts to help drive engagement \u0026 increase product knowledge with factory sales engineers and North American Sales (NAS). \n\u2022 Responsible for planning, specification interpretation, quotation and technical support. \n\u2022 Communicate with end users, specifiers, field sales and plants to facilitate problem resolution. \n\u2022 Collect, analyze, and utilize market intelligence regarding competitive products, customer needs, preferences and buying habits. \n\u2022 Review and interpret customer needs on plans and specifications. \n\n## Qualifications:\n\nBasic REQUIRED Qualifications:\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s degree from an accredited institution\n * Minimum three(3) years engineering experience or technical sales in Motor Control, Medium Voltage Drives, and/or Power Systems Electrical Distribution\n * Must be willing to relocate to Asheville, NC (Arden). Relocation assistance will be provided, if needed.\n * Must be willing to travel 25% domestically, North America Region. \n * Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B, H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc. \n \n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering or a technical related field of study from an accredited institution\n * Five (5) to seven (7) years engineering experience in medium voltage control applications, including medium voltage variable frequency drives. \n * Extensive knowledge of NEMA/ANSI standards, commercial transactions, and selling/pricing policies. \n * Knowledge/experience working with key end-customer segments (i.e. midstream oil \u0026 gas, mining, water/wastewater, etc.)\n * Working knowledge of medium voltage controls and/or variable frequency drives \n\n\n\n#LI-MI1\n\n## Skills:\n\n\u2022 Exemplifies solid product and technical knowledge of control equipment applications. \n\u2022 Strong written, oral and inter-personal communication skills. \n\u2022 Travel up to 50% of the time domestically and occasionally internationally \n\u2022 Strong Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook) \n\u2022 Must exhibit a willingness and ability to provide a leadership role within the department. Sense of urgency and ability to manage conflicting urgent priorities. \n\u2022 This position requires strong inter-personal communication and presentation skills.
