Napa Counter Salesman

ROLE SUMMARY

The NAPA Counter Sales Representative supports the daily operations of the Beck NAPA store by providing accurate, timely, and professional customer service. This role is responsible for processing parts orders, invoices, Prontos, and supporting jobsite and mechanic requests while maintaining compliance with inventory and operational procedures.

This position reports directly to both the NAPA Operations Managers and is expected to follow direction and accountability standards set.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer Service & Sales

• Greet and assist customers, mechanics, and job supervisors promptly and professionally.
• Accurately locate and quote parts using TAMS and approved systems.
• Provide pricing, availability, and alternative part options when necessary.
• Process tickets, and transactions accurately.
• Answer phone calls and respond to emails in a timely manner.

• Complete other duties as assigned.

Order Processing & Documentation
• Verify quantities, pricing, and job/WO allocations prior to finalizing transactions.
• Immediately report discrepancies, shortages, or documentation issues to the managers.

Inventory & Store Support

• Assist with receiving, and returns.
• Maintain organized shelves, bins, and staging areas.

 Professional Standards & Accountability

• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional counter area.
• Follow all inventory, purchasing, and operational procedures.
• Maintain limited personal phone use during work hours.
• Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and respect at all times.
• Accept direction and feedback from the Napa Operations Managers.

Technical & Administrative Expectations

• Basic computer proficiency (data entry, email, simple reporting)


• Ability to learn and use company inventory system


• Attention to detail when tracking materials and quantities

Working Conditions:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs


• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions


• Ability to bend, reach, stand, and move materials throughout the shift
  

Schedule:

• Full-time


• 8–10 hour shifts


• Monday–Friday with occasional overtime
