Job Description - National Sales Manager

Summary:


The National Sales Manager’s primary responsibility is generating and managing revenue for our extended stay suites.  This role involves prospecting and building relationships with key clients for the extended stay segment, leisure, corporate and relocation.  This position will also be responsible for solicitation of new national accounts to include activities such as phone solicitation, site visits, face to face sales missions, eCommerce and familiarization tours.  The National Sales Manager reports to the Director Room Sales & Guest Experience.


 


Responsibilities:


·         Develop and nurture relationships with key corporate clients, relocation companies and other extended stay partners


·         Proactively seek new business through outbound sales, networking and market research.


·         Work with Director and operations team to optimize pricing and the guest experience.


·         Direct the identification, sales efforts and relationships with individual travel producers including travel management accounts, retail travel agents, consortiums and wholesalers.


·         Establish wholesale, retail, and corporate travel (where appropriate) target lists. 


·         Represent property at appropriate travel industry tradeshows, conferences and meetings.


·         Participate in hotel marketing meetings


·         Responsible for scheduling two travel agent familiarization tours annually


·         Build relationships with key luxury consortia accounts including Virtuoso, AMEX and Signature


·         Build relationships with luxury tour operators including Trafalgar, Classic Journeys and Abercrombie & Kent


 


Qualifications


·         Four-year college degree


·         A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Hotel Sales Manager or Luxury Travel Advisor representing a luxury hotel, resort or travel agency.


·         Ability to influence and build rapport with clients and colleagues


·         Self-motivated with excellent communication skills


·         Ability to travel to attend trade shows, client meetings, local tourism meets and other key events.
