We are looking for full-time or part-time. We are open Tuesday-Friday 9am -6 pm and Saturday, 9am-3pm
Position Overview:As a Natural Hairstylist, you provide specialized hair care services tailored to clients with natural hair textures, including curly, coily, and textured hair. Your expertise in working with natural hair allows you to create stunning hairstyles while promoting hair health and embracing natural beauty.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Consultation:
- Conduct thorough consultations with clients to understand their hair type, texture, and desired styles and lifestyle.
- Assess the condition of clients' natural hair and scalp to determine appropriate treatments and styling techniques.
- Natural Hair Services:
- Provide a range of natural hair care services, including wash-and-go styles, twist-outs, braid-outs, and protective styles.
- Perform haircuts, trims, and shaping techniques suitable for natural hair textures.
- Offer specialized treatments such as deep conditioning, protein treatments, and scalp massages to promote hair health and hydration.
- Styling and Maintenance:
- Utilize appropriate styling tools and products to achieve desired looks while minimizing damage to natural hair.
- Educate clients on proper hair care techniques, including detangling, moisturizing, and protecting hair from environmental stressors.
- Recommend suitable products and styling methods to help clients maintain their natural hair between salon visits.
- Client Education and Empowerment:
- Empower clients to embrace their natural hair texture and celebrate their unique beauty.
- Provide guidance on transitioning from chemical treatments to natural hair care methods and products.
- Offer tips and advice on managing common challenges associated with natural hair, such as shrinkage, dryness, and frizz.
- Product Knowledge and Recommendations:

Qualifications:- Licensure as a Hairstylist in the state of Maryland
- Specialized training or experience in working with natural hair textures.
- Strong knowledge of natural hair care techniques, products, and trends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to provide personalized recommendations and advice based on clients' unique hair needs.
- Commitment to promoting natural beauty and self-confidence.
Physical Requirements:This position may require prolonged periods of standing, bending, and using salon tools and equipment.
