Summary: The Natural Resources Program Manager is primarily responsible for leadership in directing and managing all components of the AVCP Natural Resources Program, including Biology, Natural Resources, Advocacy and Networking, External Project Development, Social Science, Agriculture and Summer Programs. Additionally, the position is responsible for the staff management of the Natural Resources Program under the guidance and supervision of the Natural Resources Division Director.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. This position requires a thorough understanding of the culture and the needs of the Tribes of the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta region. Must have knowledge of and experience in the Yukon-Kuskokwim region of Alaska and work effectively in a cross-cultural environment. Must have strong computer skills. Must be willing to work flexible hours if needed. This position is subject to Native Preference per P.L. 93-638. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability needed.
Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Applied Sciences or in a closely related field is preferred or any combination of experience and training which has provided the required knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position. Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Program Manager, three (3) of which have included supervising subordinates is required.
