Job Description - Navy ATI Subject Matter Expert

We are seeking Naval Aviation Electronics Technician - Intermediate Level (ATI) Subject Matter Expert (SME) to assist a software development team develop virtual training solutions for ATI courses. The candidate must be able to translate aviation terminology, procedures, and operations for the Virtual Training Suite (VTS) development team. The candidate would also assist with product progress reporting, scheduling, and customer (stakeholder) interface. The ideal candidate will be able to perform the following duties and meet the following qualifications.
Duties:
Work closely with customers, supervisors, instructional systems designers, software designers, software engineers, and 3D artists to create interactive mobile, web, augmented reality, virtual reality, desktop training systems, serious games, and distributed learning simulations.
Provide subject matter expertise through design meetings, storyboard creation, and software content validation.
Able to adapt to changing workloads quickly and collaborate with your team and other business units to provide software solutions, following best practices to ensure a high-quality standard.
Required Experience/Skills:
Recent (within 3 years) experience serving as an ATO Instructor within the fleet.
Excellent grammar and written communication skills.
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to track and comply with strict schedules.
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree plus at least eight years of applicable experience - or - an associate degree plus at least 8-10 years of relevant experience in the following NEC (I13A, I17A, I25A, I26A, I34A).
Desired Experience/Skills:
Navy Instructor certification
Experience reviewing and collaborating with curriculum/courseware development/sustainment contractor at a Navy schoolhouse
Familiar with the PADDIE process and the principles of MIL-STD 29-612
Familiarity with software development, 3D creation, and gaming is a plus.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
