Job Description - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Manager NICU

Clinical Nurse Manager - Labor & Delivery Unit

Join our dynamic healthcare organization as a Clinical Nurse Manager for our Labor & Delivery Unit. In this leadership role, you'll guide a dedicated team of healthcare professionals while ensuring exceptional patient care and operational excellence. Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team of L&D nurses and support staff
  • Drive clinical excellence through evidence-based practices and quality improvement initiatives
  • Oversee daily unit operations, including staffing, patient flow, and resource management
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance patient experience and satisfaction
  • Manage departmental budget and resource allocation
  • Foster interdisciplinary collaboration and communication
  • Lead quality improvement projects and monitor clinical outcomes
  • Support staff development and continuing education initiatives

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
  • Current RN license or compact license (Texas license required within 6 months)
  • 3-5+ years of L&D nursing experience
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience in acute care setting
  • BLS certification required
  • Specialty certification required within 6 months of hire

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration
  • RNC-OB certification
  • NRP and FHM certifications
  • ACLS certification
