Your dedication to continuous improvement, strong instructional skills, and ability to connect with diverse learners will contribute to signi\ufb01cant student growth and achievement.\n\n## ILLUSTRATIVE DUTIES\n\n * Plan a program of study that, as much as possible, meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students. \nCreate a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the \nstudents.\n\nPrepare lessons that re\ufb02ect accommodations for individual di\ufb00erences. \nPrepare for classes assigned and show written evidence of preparation upon request of immediate supervisor. \nEncourage students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior. \nGuide the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and, in harmony with the goals, establish \nclear objectives for all lessons, units, projects, and the like to communicate these objectives to the students.\n\nEmploy a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media consistent with the physical limitations of the \nlocation provided, and the needs and capabilities of the individuals or student groups involved.\n\nStrive to implement, by instruction and action, the district\u2019s philosophy of education and instructional goals and \nobjectives.\n\nAssess the accomplishments of the students on a regular basis and provide progress reports as required. \nRefer students for evaluation by district specialists as required. \nTake necessary and reasonable precautions to protect the students, equipment, materials, and facilities. \nMaintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulations.\n\n\n\n\n## ILLUSTRATIVE DUTIES CONTINUED\n\n\u25aa Assist the administration in implementing all policies and rules governing student life and conduct. Develop reasonable rules of classroom behavior. Maintain order in the classroom in a fair and just manner. \n\u25aa Make provisions for being available to the students and to the parents for education-related purposes when required. \n\u25aa Plan and supervise purposeful assignments for teacher aide(s) and volunteer(s) and, cooperatively with \ndepartment heads, evaluate their job performance. \n \n\u25aa Maintain and improve professional competence. \n\u25aa Participate in district sta\ufb00 development. \n\u25aa Attend sta\ufb00 meetings and serve on sta\ufb00 committees. \n\u25aa Maintain a professional relationship with colleagues. \n\u25aa Establish and maintain open lines of communication with students, parents, and community members. \n\u25aa Maintain open communication with parents. \n\u25aa Perform other job-related duties as assigned.\n\n## POSITION REQUIREMENTS\n\nN/A\n\n \n\n## Education\n\n * Minimum of a Bachelor\u2019s degree from an accredited college or university.\n * Certified teacher or in a certification program.\n\n\n\n## Experience\n\nN/A\n\n## Other Requirements\n\n * Ability to communicate e\ufb00ectively in both written and oral forms with all levels of management, both internal and\n\n\n\nexternal to the district.\n\n * Ability to establish and maintain e\ufb00ective working relationships both internal and external to the district.\n * Ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into focus; judge distance (close and distant); reach with arms extended and use hands to manipulate the keyboard.\n * Ability to lift and carry up to 10 pounds, stoop, kneel, crouch, walk, twist, bend, climb, and/or be mobile.\n * Ability to travel throughout the district and city by means of private or public transportation.
