Duration: 6 Months (contract)
Location: Denver, CO ( ( Remote US Only, must be a Colorado resident )

Job Summary:
The Developer II is a crucial member of the team, primarily focused on application development activities across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). This role plays a vital part in translating business requirements into efficient and secure software solutions. Additionally, the Developer II provides support services, contributes to system updates and enhancements, and participates in planning for application modernization.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
1. Application Development and Support: Collaborate with stakeholders to design applications aligned with OIT strategies.
Assist in estimating and planning development projects.
Develop applications using Agile or Waterfall methodologies, ensuring adherence to standards and best practices.
Coordinate system changes, contribute to break/fix solutions, and update documentation.
Organize, build, and validate code segments for User Acceptance Testing.
Ensure development activities comply with service portfolio policies and guidelines.
Identify and propose improvements to development processes and procedures.
2. Tracking and Reporting: Develop work effort estimates in collaboration with supervisors.
Record time spent on work activities in the project tracking system.
Provide progress reports to supervisors or project managers.
Determine accurate estimates for completing assigned tasks.
3. Additional Duties As Assigned : Perform assigned duties, including potential travel to various agency locations.
Comply with background screening requirements as per agency policies.
Minimum Job Requirements :
Work Experience: 2+ years of hands-on programming experience in applications development.
Education/Training: Undergraduate degree in information technology, computer science, or related field.
Functional/Technical Knowledge & Skills: Proficiency in C#, .NET, SQL, and collaboration across SDLC.
