Network Administrator

RMC is hiring a Network Administrator in Dahlgren, VA. The selected applicant will be responsible for configuring, installing and supporting various Juniper switches and configuring, installing and supporting Juniper VPN devices. The selected applicant will configure, install and support Juniper switches. Perform work building, running, maintaining and supporting CAT5\6 ethernet and various fiber technologies. The selected applicant will perform high level troubleshooting of all network devices in the environment and design, implement and maintain VLAN & zone configurations. Design implement and maintain a redundant network connection back to our corporate entry point. The selected applicant will also:

Develop and maintain a process for tracking and applying required firmware and security upgrades to all network devices in the environment

Create and maintain network data flow diagrams outlining ports and protocols in use and their flow between servers and zones

Create and maintain network cable path diagrams depicting cable paths in the server room and office spaces; -track, manage, and issue all IP addresses in the environment

Maintain switch inventory and Life cycle management of switch hardware to include end of life tracking

Ensure proper labeling of network cables and ports in the server room and office spaces and be responsible for the collection and review of switch logs looking for anomalies

Monitor network latency, identify and resolve any bottle necks and stay abreast to current technologies and make recommendations to improve network resources within the environment

A Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of related experience is required. The selected applicant must have Security+; Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Security Clearance:

An active DoD security clearance is required to start.
