Position Title: Network Administrator
Terms of Employment: 12-month position

Salary: $60,000-$70,000
Hours of Work: Monday- Friday 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM ( Flexible hours based on a 40 hour week)
Summary
The Network Administrator troubleshoots diagnoses and resolves problems with Desktop/Laptop/Server computer equipment, operating system, application software, local area network (LAN) and peripherals for client departments and employees.
Qualifications A High School Diploma or GED Associates degree- Preferred Minimum of 3 years experience with networking Technical certifications preferred- Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST), Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) or Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), CompTIA A+, Server +, Google Certified Administrator, HP/Aruba Networks and Palo Alto Networks
Job Responsibilities Maintain, deploy and design the District's network infrastructure, including but not limited to: MDF and IDF design and troubleshooting, switch and router configuration, end-to-end wiring troubleshooting, wireless infrastructure. Setup, design and implement Network Backup Strategy; including installation and maintenance of hardware and software, performance monitoring, off-site storage. Maintain, deploy and design the District's Directory Services. Develop and maintain a user account strategy, encompassing rights, folder access, assignment to groups, etc. Deploy, manage and maintain servers in a virtualized server environment. Maintain District's TCP/IP networking structure. Track static IP assignments and monitor DHCP servers. Maintain and deploy Domain Controllers and DNS servers. Maintain Google services. Manage network security, including firewall appliance. Prepare, image, provide and coordinate mass roll-out of computers. Provide end-user support for all deployed software, including but not limited to: student demographic applications, Internet browsers, document imaging software. Provide end-user support for all deployed hardware equipment, including but not limited to: laptops, Chromebooks, desktops, mobile carts, projectors, printers. Diagnose and replace faulty equipment as necessary, and/or deal with hardware vendor for warranty replacement/repair. Effective communication with technical and non-technical staff is essential. Maintain friendly working relationships with staff and administration. Expert troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, both hardware- and software-related, are a must. Other job duties as assigned, such as assisting in completing work orders or help tickets, or any other tasks related to the Department for Technology.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms.
