Job Description - Network Administrator Associate

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Network Administrator Associate to support the design, maintenance, and optimization of the organization's network infrastructure. This role is ideal for professionals early in their networking career who are looking to grow their expertise in a dynamic, remote environment. The ideal candidate will assist in ensuring network reliability, security, and performance while providing technical support to users and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware and software
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues
  • Support LAN/WAN environments, VPNs, firewalls, and wireless networks
  • Perform routine system checks, updates, and backups
  • Help manage user access, permissions, and network security protocols
  • Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps
  • Respond to network-related support tickets and escalate complex issues when necessary
  • Assist in implementing network security measures and compliance standards
  • Support cloud networking environments and hybrid infrastructure
  • Collaborate with senior network administrators and IT teams on projects

Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 1–3+ years of experience in networking, IT support, or system administration
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching)
  • Familiarity with network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls
  • Experience with network monitoring tools is a plus
  • Knowledge of cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or similar) is an advantage
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA (Associate), or equivalent are preferred
