The
Network Capacity Coordinator drives the sustainability and effectiveness of partner agencies through strategic training, targeted resource coordination, and infrastructure advancement. This role evaluates and enhances partner agency capacity, facilitates regional partner agency collaboration, and administers resources to build and strengthen partner agency operations. The role also works closely within the Network Engagement team to recruit and train new partner agencies while also ensuring partner agency compliance with all Local and Federal Government, Feeding America and Food Bank regulatory guidelines. This position plays a crucial role in building a resilient, high-performing partner network that advances equitable food access across the Food Bank’s 34-county service area.

Primary Responsibilities:  

• Build strong, trust-based relationships with regionally assigned partner agencies as it relates to capacity building, resource development, and similar network sustaining needs.


• Collaborate with the Network Engagement and Network Data teams to collect and analyze partner capacity data and recommend strategic capacity-building initiatives.


• Design and deliver training and other resources for partner agencies on topics such as fundamentals of nonprofit management, equitable distribution practices, and community engagement.


• Support partner agencies in accessing resources, grants, and equipment to expand their service capacity.


• Coordinate partner agency engagement in Food Bank events, meetings, and initiatives.


• Maintain accurate records of partner agency interactions, compliance documentation, and training participation.


• Support Network Strategy & Engagement team initiatives including:
  
  
  
  • Conducting partner agency site visits to ensure compliance with Food Bank, Feeding America, and government program guidelines.
  
  
  • Ensure regulatory compliance by monitoring and enforcing Food Bank, Feeding America, and government program standards, providing coaching and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  
  
  • recruit and onboard new partner agencies, ensuring they meet eligibility requirements and have a strong foundation for a successful partnership.
  
  
  
  


• Lead cross-department initiatives to ensure a high standard of customer service to partner agencies and community stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements

Education: 

• Undergraduate degree (Associate or Bachelor) required in Social Sciences, Non-Profit Management, Business Administration, Education, or relevant field. An equivalent combination of education and directly related professional experience may substitute for the degree requirement.

Experience: 

• 2+ years in community outreach, customer service, nonprofit program coordination, or capacity-building.


• 2+ years in data collection and analysis, preferably in a nonprofit or human services setting.

Skills and Competencies: 

• Self-Directed & Accountable – Proactive, results-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining accountability for outcomes.


• Organization & Time Management – Exceptional ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.


• Technical Proficiency – Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); PowerBI, Tableau, and/or ArcGIS are a plus


• Communication & Facilitation – Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with a proven ability to facilitate discussions, foster collaboration, and guide diverse groups toward shared goals.


• Presentation Skills – Demonstrates strong verbal communication and visual storytelling abilities; can develop and deliver clear, engaging presentations tailored to varied audiences such as internal teams, partner agencies, and community groups.


• Analytical & Strategic Thinking – Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills; able to identify challenges, develop solutions, and measure impact.


• Bilingual Skills – Ability to effectively communicate in Spanish (verbal and written) highly preferred.


• Nonprofit Experience – Prior experience in nonprofit or mission-driven environments with limited resources preferred.


• Equity & Social Justice Commitment – Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people and a demonstrated commitment to advancing social justice and food equity.


• Driving Requirements – Valid North Carolina driver’s license and excellent driving record; ability to travel extensively throughout the Food Bank’s 34-county service area.

Work Environment

While performing the responsibilities of this position, the employee will work in a variety of settings, including an office environment, warehouse, and off-site partner or community locations. This requires frequent travel by automobile, transit van, or large truck within the Food Bank’s 34-county service area.

In warehouse and kitchen environments, the employee may occasionally be exposed to moving mechanical parts, vehicles, temperature fluctuations, and moderate noise levels.
