Position Overview

As a Network Engineer at GigaKOM, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional IT services. Engage directly with clients, ensuring our solutions surpass client expectations. This role requires frequent travel within California, allowing you to work on-site and interact with our esteemed clients, gaining invaluable experience and insights.

San Diego, CA

Travel Requirement:
This role requires up to 60% travel across California, working on-site at client locations to deliver network solutions.

Responsibilities

Primary Duties:

• Design and implement tailored network solutions to meet client needs, with a focus on performance, reliability, and security.


• Configure, deploy, and support networking equipment such as Cisco, Meraki, Extreme, and Aruba devices.


• Supervise and execute cabling installations, including copper and fiber, to ensure robust network infrastructures.


• Provide technical expertise in proposal preparation and evaluation to align solutions with client goals.


• Travel to client sites across California to deploy, integrate, and support network solutions.

Secondary Duties:

• Offer technical support and training to clients and internal teams.


• Assist in project documentation, reporting, and evaluation.

Qualifications

Required:

• 5+ years of experience in IT network engineering, including design, deployment, and support of large-scale networks.


• At least one relevant certification (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, Aruba, Fortinet).


• Expertise in cabling installations (copper and fiber) and infrastructure.


• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.


• Flexibility to travel up to 60% within California.


• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Preferred:

• Advanced certifications in networking technologies.


• Hands-on experience with structured cabling, termination, and testing.


• Ability to adapt to remote and on-site working environments.
