Our employees are not only part of history, they\u0027re making history.\n\nWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Engineer 2/3 to join our dynamic team in Boulder, CO.\n\nThe Network Engineer will:\n\n * Support the design, development, and analysis of Ground Station requirements.\n * Integrate Network Hardware in support of Ground Based Systems architecture and support communications infrastructure.\n * Troubleshoot technical problems and issues, determines technical solution in accordance with product and customer specifications, and recommends actions.\n * Research, develop, and test a variety of electronic equipment and systems, including communications equipment and systems, and control and test equipment.\n * Evaluate and resolve engineering related production problems related to manufacturing, design, and quality.\n * Analyze engineering specifications and drawings; confers with quality, and subcontractors to provide and obtain technical information; investigates reports of defective, damaged or malfunctioning parts, assemblies, equipment or systems; and reviews production schedules and orders.\n * Evaluate findings to formulate corrective actions.\n * Responsible for research and/or product development in more than one engineering discipline.\n * Support and participate in the design, test, modification, fabrication, and assembly of electromechanical systems.\n * Assess product needs in accordance with customer specifications.\n * May conduct technical training and product briefing with customers, vendors, and company representatives.\n * Implement and refine designs for business technology initiatives.\n * Enforce policies for standardizing and adherence to systems, security and Industry practices.\n * Follow CM processes to iterate on network design and implementation documents.\n\n\n\nThis requisition may be filled at a higher job grade based on the qualifications listed below. \n\nThis requisition may be filled as either a Level 2 or a Level 3.\n\nBasic Qualifications for a Level 2:\n\n\u00b7 Bachelor\u0027s degree with 2 years of relevant experience; Master\u0027s degree with 0 years of relevant experience; Associate\u0027s degree with 4 years of relevant experience. An additional 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.\n\n\u00b7 Basic understanding and demonstrated skills with Network Architectures\n\n\u00b7 U.S. citizenship is required for this role\n\n\u00b7 Active DoD Secret-level Security Clearance or the ability to obtain\n\n\u00b7 Ability to work alone or in small teams to complete projects\n\n\u00b7 Ability to communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical persons\n\n\u00b7 Experience with industry wiring (copper and fiber) standards\n\n\u00b7 Experience with routing and switching network equipment and protocols\n\n\u00b7 Experience with security concepts and firewall management\n\n\u00b7 Experience with DoD encryption implementation and standards\n\n\u00b7 Experience with HW, RF, and Cisco systems, test equipment, technical troubleshooting, and problem solving.\n\n\u00b7 Experience with engineering drawings and technical manuals, and the use thereof for operating, maintenance and troubleshooting equipment.\n\nBasic Qualifications for a Level 3:\n\n\u00b7 Bachelor\u0027s degree with 5 years of relevant experience; Master\u0027s degree with 3 years of relevant experience; Associate\u0027s degree with 7 years of relevant experience. An additional 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.\n\n\u00b7 Basic understanding and demonstrated skills with Network Architectures\n\n\u00b7 U.S. citizenship is required for this role\n\n\u00b7 Active DoD Secret-level Security Clearance or the ability to obtain\n\n\u00b7 Ability to work alone or in small teams to complete projects\n\n\u00b7 Ability to communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical persons\n\n\u00b7 Experience with industry wiring (copper and fiber) standards\n\n\u00b7 Experience with routing and switching network equipment and protocols\n\n\u00b7 Experience with security concepts and firewall management\n\n\u00b7 Experience with DoD encryption implementation and standards\n\n\u00b7 Experience with HW, RF, and Cisco systems, test equipment, technical troubleshooting, and problem solving.\n\n\u00b7 Experience with engineering drawings and technical manuals, and the use thereof for operating, maintenance and troubleshooting equipment.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n\u00b7 DOD TS/SCI Clearance\n\n\u00b7 Sec+\n\n\u00b7 CCNA/JNCIA\n\n\u00b7 CCNP/JNCIP\n\n\u00b7 GIT Experience\n\n\u00b7 MBSE Experience \u2013 Cameo preferred\n\n\u00b7 Strong familiarity with network architecture\n\n\u00b7 Comprehensive experience with TCP/IP, firewalls, switching, routing\n\n\u00b7 Effective time management and organization skills\n\n\u00b7 Effective diagnostic and problem-solving skills\n\n\u00b7 Attention to detail, planning and documentation skills\n\n\u00b7 Ability to work independently and in a team environment\n\n\u00b7 Ability to travel between 10 and 25% of the year\n\n\u00b7 Maintain thorough understanding of new developments and techniques in information technology\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $83,400.00 - $125,200.00\n\nSecondary Level Salary Range: $103,600.00 - $155,400.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
