As a Mid-Level Network Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, building, deploying, and supporting sophisticated network solutions across a variety of platforms. We’re looking for someone who has a strong background in managed services, thrives in a fast-paced, project-driven environment, and is passionate about taking on complex challenges.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement network solutions across multi-site environments, ensuring high performance and reliability.
- Manage, maintain, and optimise existing LAN/WAN infrastructure, identifying areas for improvement and innovation.
- Participate in and lead projects, from initial scoping and design to full deployment, installation, and configuration.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships, providing expert advice on new and existing technologies to drive their technical roadmaps forward.
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team, including the Managed Services Team, to resolve client issues and enhance network security.
- Provide Level 2/3 support and participate in an on-call roster to ensure the smooth operation of complex network environments.
- Contribute to customer engagement and discussions, contributing to business growth through professional service excellence.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Experience: A solid background in managing and troubleshooting complex network environments, with hands-on experience in designing and commissioning routing and switching solutions.
- Project Leadership: Proven ability to self-manage across the full project lifecycle, including design, scoping, and implementation.
- Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, combined with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
- Technical Expertise: Experience working across various networking platforms and technologies, including:
- Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls (preferably CCNP, CCIE certification)
- Routing protocols such as BGP & OSPF
- Cisco Nexus, Catalyst, HPE, and Aruba switching solutions
- Palo Alto, Fortinet, Sophos, and Cisco firewalls
- Network security management, NAT, IPSec VPN configuration & troubleshooting
- Telephony platforms (3CX, CUCM, Teams calling)
- VMware networking and virtualisation
- Cloud networking (AWS, Azure)
