THE OPPORTUNITY:

As a Network Engineer at Transtar, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure to ensure maximum performance and reliability. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze network requirements, develop solutions, and execute network expansion projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in networking technologies, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for staying updated with the latest industry trends.

RESPONSIBILTIES:
Design, implement, and manage enterprise-level network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
Perform network capacity planning and optimization to support current and future business requirements.
Monitor network performance and security, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective measures to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted service.
Configure and maintain network protocols and services such as TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, and VPNs.
Manage and maintain the company's phone systems, including VoIP configurations and PBX systems.
Ensure phone system reliability and integration with network infrastructure.
Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate network systems with servers, storage, and cloud services.
Conduct regular network audits, vulnerability assessments, and security updates to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Document network configurations, procedures, and best practices for knowledge sharing and future reference.
Provide technical support and training to internal teams and end-users on network-related issues and solutions.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or 5 years of directly related work experience.
Proven experience as a Network Engineer or similar role in a corporate environment.
In-depth knowledge of networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, VLANs, and VPNs.
Hands-on experience with network equipment from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, and Palo Alto Networks.
Experience managing phone systems, including VoIP and PBX.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
Experience with network monitoring tools and security solutions is a plus.
