JOB SUMMARY

This position requires the individual to work closely with our DevOps team to deploy and maintain Sunbelt Controls developed products in the most effective and efficient manner possible. As part of our team, you will participate in the design/development & maintenance of leading-edge technologies to build new business opportunities helping push Sunbelt Controls to be the leader in our industry. This position also requires a high level of experience with computer hardware, network hardware, industry standard software and strong IT/OT architecture knowledge, as well as an understanding of how to set up and maintain VPNs. In this position, you will interact with Sunbelt Controls project team members, customers and end users to help ensure our cybersecurity best practices are implemented and followed.

Essential Functions

Work with Sunbelt Controls Development team to make sure that all OT hardware and software deployment are up to date and fully configured per our standards
Work directly with senior Systems Software Engineers and Developers to find more efficiencies in the deployment process
Implement and maintain inventory of all service supported customers, installed hardware and license agreements
Responsible for “On boarding” & “Off boarding” all new hardware in our central management system, Palo Alto Networks Panorama
Will ensure proper access for all Sunbelt Controls employees by region and end users on a case-by-case basis
Provide initial support for employees and customers with remote access issues. Escalate support as needed
Responsible for ordering and maintaining a fleet of cellular devices providing internet access to our customers and large construction projects
Work closely with telecom department to ensure projects and customers are charged appropriately for monthly cellular usage.
Schedule security patches and updates. Communicate when critical patches or updates will be deployed
Work closely with our vendors to make sure that all RMAs and replacement units are tracked
Regularly test our deployments for vulnerabilities and report findings
Communicates effectively with other team members regarding project issues, obstacles, and information needs
Responsible for coaching, mentoring and development of junior level administrators
Completes other duties as assigned by direct supervisor and/or department management team

Education And Experience

Associates degree in a computer related technical field or 2-3 years of related work experience in computer networking. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science is preferred
Must have strong understanding of network architecture, TCP/IP, subnetworkingand VLAN management
Must be highly organized and possess the ability to work in a high paced environment
Has the ability to operate independently and autonomously and yet possesses the discretionary judgment to know when it is appropriate to consult with others in the organization
Must possess a valid California driver’s license
Ability to execute their work to ensure high customer satisfaction and the highest quality deliverable
Demonstrates an ability to delegate basic and/or “stretch” tasks to less experienced staff and assign resources correctly to diagnose/address issues
Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills are a requirement of this position.

Desired Experience

Familiarity with one or more of the following languages: Python, C/C++, Java, Go, R or .NET
Familiarity with Palo Alto Networks admin UI and/or CLI
Certification from Palo Alto Networks: PCCET, PCNSA or PCNSE
Familiarity with Aruba OS or comfortable with Aruba CLI
Familiarity with Linux operating systems and basic commands
Familiarity with SSL Certificates in the context of web servers or proxy managers

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and stand, use hands to operate computer keyboard and telephone, talk and hear.
Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 10lbs. of force constantly to move objects.

Competitive Wages

$31.25 to $45.67 per hour. Applicants please note that actual compensation is determined by several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location, among others. The offered wage or salary is only one aspect of an employee's total compensation.
