Position Purpose:
As a Physical Therapist specializing in neurological rehabilitation, you'll evaluate and treat patients with conditions such as stroke, Parkinson’s disease, brain injury, and balance disorders. You'll provide one-on-one, evidence-based treatment in a clinic designed to support neuro recovery and function. This role is all about helping patients maximize independence and improve their quality of life.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop personalized treatment plans for patients with neurological diagnoses.
- Deliver one-on-one care tailored to improve strength, mobility, balance, coordination, motor control, gait, and functional independence for patients with neurological conditions.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Educate and motivate patients and caregivers to support progress both in and outside the clinic.
- Collaborate and coordinate care plans with Occupational Therapists, and Speech Therapists, as needed, to
ensure consistent, high-quality care.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments and treatment outcomes.
- Stay current with best practices in neuro rehabilitation through ongoing continuing education.
Requirements:
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure to practice physical therapy in West Virginia.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with patients.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and learning.
