Description

Hoag Health, the top-ranked health system in Orange County, CA is seeking a fellowship-trained Neuromuscular Specialist to join our growing team! As a Hoag Health Physician, the role will span from performing outpatient clinical care in an office-based setting to spearheading the program’s strategic development, management, and visionary planning. Moreover, the position entails active involvement in clinical and translational research, along with philanthropical efforts, aiming to pioneer advancements in movement disorders care. This commitment aims to enhance patient outcomes while positioning Hoag as a regional leader in movement disorders healthcare and innovation.

Hoag’s Neuromuscular program focuses on providing clinical excellence, compassionate care and a commitment to the community through the provision of many available supportive services. Hoag also offers a multidisciplinary approach in the care of our patients through our services and treatment options.

Position Details: 

  • Full-Time Opportunity, outpatient  based only, no hospital call. 
  • Perform and Interpret EMG studies.      
  • Be comfortable managing common Neuromuscular (NM) disorders and be familiar with advanced NM disorders such as CIDP,      inflammatory muscle and nerve disorders, genetic NM disorders with ample clinical exposure and preferred research exposure in these entities.
  • Comes in with the understanding of the need to build a robust Neurodiagnostic service including EMGs and develop the infrastructure for this service to accommodate the growing  need, Hoag expansion and future service growth. 
  • Willingness to build a nerve and muscle biopsy and pathology program.  
  • Collaborate with other HSC NEUROLOGISTS to build multidisciplinary services for disorders such as  MDS, MG, ALS. 
  • Interest in building a research portfolio for NM in Hoag and have prior experience with clinical trials or translational research to participate in Hoag and PFNI new neurotherapeutics unit initiative.  
  • Collaborate with other neurologists to build a neurogenetics service.

Estimated Range: $285,000 - $360,000*In addition to compensation, Hoag Specialty Clinic offers a comprehensive benefits package including 401k matching, CME, Malpractice etc.

We offer competitive total compensation that includes pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees. The total pay range shown takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including knowledge/skills; relevant experience and training; education/certifications/licensure; and other business and organizational factors.  This total pay range includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role. We also offer a robust comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications:

  • Medical Degree from an  accredited medical school
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology, and Neuromuscular Medicine or Neurophysiology
  • Fellowship trained in Neuromuscular medicine from accredited program
  • Unrestricted California license as a physician
  • A track record of excellence in teaching, patient care, research (clinical or basic) and administration
