We are seeking a Neuronal Cell Culture Associate with hands-on experience culturing and working with neuronal cells, including primary neurons and iPSC-derived neuronal models. This role is central to supporting neuroscience drug discovery projects, with a focus on executing cell-based assays and maintaining high-quality neuronal cultures.

Key Responsibilities

• Culture and maintain neuronal cells, including primary neuronal cultures and iPSC-derived neurons, using aseptic techniques.
• Prepare media and reagents for neuronal cell culture and assay workflows.
• Perform cell-based assays such as immunocytochemistry, calcium imaging, live/dead cell viability assays, and fluorescence microscopy.
• Support biochemical assays, including ELISA, AlphaScreen, MSD, and SDS-PAGE.
• Analyze and report experimental data, maintaining accurate documentation in electronic lab notebooks.
• Ensure compliance with lab safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized lab environment.

Required:

• B.S. in Biological Sciences (e.g., Neuroscience, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology) with 4–6 years of lab experience, including direct experience with neuronal cell culture.
• Proficiency in handling multiple cell types and conditions simultaneously.
• Familiarity with cell-based and biochemical assay techniques.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to follow SOPs.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred:

• Experience with neuronal differentiation protocols.
• Background in neurodegenerative disease research (e.g., Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, ALS).
• Experience with high content imaging and analysis software (e.g., Harmony, Columbus, ImageJ).
• Familiarity with automated plate-based instrumentation (e.g., Opera Phenix, Tecan).
• Experience with transient transfection methods and ELN documentation.

Position is Full Time, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Boston, MA are encouraged to apply.
