DescriptionThe Neurodiagnostic Technologist works in the neurodiagnostic laboratories performing any one or more of the following procedures: Electroencephalography (EEG), Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU), and long-term monitoring (LTM).
The technologist is responsible for complete and accurate patient preparation, data acquisition, providing a safe testing environment and must demonstrate competent skills and knowledge in one or more of these areas. If applicable, you must also be able to work within the EEG/EMU on call schedule including but not limited to after hours, nights and weekends on a rotational basis.

Our technologists are responsible for complete and accurate patient preparation, data acquisition, providing a safe testing environment, and must demonstrate minimum competency, skill, and knowledge in neurodiagnostic procedural testing in the area of hire.

QualificationsTech II Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent, or associate’s degree or higher, or an accredited school of END Technology. Must have working knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
- Two or more years in Electro Neuro Diagnostic procedure testing (this includes clinical experience while attending formal END education).
License or Certifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Certification Registry in one or more of the following: EEG, EP, NCS, CNIM, CLTM, CAP, PSG from an accredited society (AAET, ABEM, ABRET, etc.) Within two years of employment, specific certification through ABRET - Neurodiagnostic Credentialing and Accreditation (CLTM); is required in the laboratory of hire. The Registry Examination should be attempted as soon as the employee is eligible.
Tech III Qualifications:
- Associates degree from an accredited school of EEG/NCS/EP Technology and a National Registry certification in two or more of the following: EEG, NCS, EP Autonomic, Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM) or Long-Term Monitoring (CLTM).
- Two or more year(s) performing one or more electrodiagnostic procedures in EEG/NCS/EP/IOM/LTM/Autonomic.
License or Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Certification in two or more of the following: EEG, EP, NCS, CNIM, CLTM, CAP, PSG, CNCT from an accredited society (AAET, ABEM, ABRET, etc).
