Neurosurgeon – VA Contract Opportunity

Location: Cedar Hill, MO
Contract: November 2, 2026 – November 1, 2027
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM + call

We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Neurosurgeon for a long-term contract opportunity providing comprehensive neurosurgical care to Veterans at a major VA medical center.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient and inpatient neurosurgical consultations and follow-up care.
• Perform cranial and spinal surgical procedures.
• Provide intraoperative and postoperative care, including SICU and inpatient rounding.
• Conduct bedside consultations for non-ambulatory patients.
• Complete timely documentation in the VA electronic medical record.
• Participate in quality improvement and morbidity & mortality activities.
• Provide patient and family education and discharge planning.
• Provide 24/7 neurosurgical call coverage.

Schedule & Call

• Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM onsite.
• Weekend inpatient rounding as needed.
• 24/7 call coverage with 15-minute telephone response and 60-minute onsite response.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurological Surgery.
• 1+ year of neurological surgery experience preferred.
