Main responsibilities:
The Sourcing Manager I supports the development and execution of strategic sourcing initiatives across Corporate and Shared Services categories, including professional services, human resources, finance, facilities, and other indirect spend areas. Partnering closely with business stakeholders, this role helps identify sourcing opportunities, analyze spend and market trends, support negotiations, and execute sourcing strategies that deliver value to the organization.
This position is responsible for managing sourcing projects, cost optimization and category strategies, developing supplier relationships, supporting contract negotiations, and applying market and financial analysis to improve business outcomes. The Sourcing Manager I works within established sourcing frameworks while building category expertise and influencing stakeholder decisions through data-driven recommendations.
The position will be based in Boise, Idaho.
- Support the development and execution of sourcing strategies for Corporate and Shared Services categories.
- Analyze spend, supplier, and market data to identify cost savings and value creation opportunities.
- Lead sourcing events and manage multiple sourcing projects from initiation through contract execution
- Partner with stakeholders to understand business requirements and align sourcing solutions to organizational needs.
- Develop savings analyses, baseline models, and basic should-cost models to support sourcing recommendations.
- Build negotiation strategies and support supplier negotiations to achieve favorable commercial outcomes.
- Review contracts, identify potential risks, and recommend improvements to commercial terms and conditions.
- Assess supplier, contract, and sourcing risks and develop mitigation plans in partnership with stakeholders and subject matter experts.
- Utilize sourcing systems, tools, and reporting capabilities to manage projects and track results.
- Prepare presentations and recommendations that clearly communicate sourcing opportunities, savings, risks, and business impacts. [
- Deliver against annual sourcing and cost savings goals while maintaining compliance with company policies and procurement standards.
We are looking for candidates who possess the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field preferred.
- 3 plus years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, category management, contract management, or a related business function.
- Experience supporting indirect spend
- Project Management experience a plus
- Knowledge of sourcing processes, supplier negotiations, contract management, and procurement best practices.
- Ability to analyze spend data, supplier proposals, and financial information to support business recommendations.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Experience working cross-functionally
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to create presentations and business recommendations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, balance competing priorities, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong ethical standards, business judgment, and commitment to compliance and corporate governance requirements
