New Homes Inspector & Maintenance Specialist

Carolina Cabin Rentals seeks an interested and capable person to join our team!  We are a locally owned and operated full-service luxury vacation rental company with over 400 properties located across the High Country of Western NC. We are passionate about providing exceptional guest experiences and maintaining strong relationships with homeowners. 

Position Summary:

The New Homes Inspector upholds our high standards by doing a complete inspection of new homes coming into our rental program. This person notes the physical details of the property and identifies any maintenance issues that should be addressed prior to opening the home for reservations, bringing to the homeowner’s attention recommended areas for improvement. The new homes inspector is also responsible for completing the punch list of identified items approved by the owner to take care of and fulfilling the initial fire safety requirements.

Qualifications:

• Strong proficiency Google Suite and technology in general as there are additional programs in use


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong time management skills.


• Flexible and adaptable to changing circumstances 


• Tact when dealing with the occasional owner.


• Some Carpentry/Home Repair and Maintenance experience


• Knowledge of using tools – tools will be provided or you may use your own


• Basic-level knowledge about plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other house systems


• Inclined to enjoy variety of locations and tasks in their work


• Rewarded by solving problems


• Clean driving record and able to pass a background check


• Availability Monday - Friday for up to 8-hour shifts (times may vary daily) 


• Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work on-site in the High Country.

This is a part time to full time position and includes benefits as follows: 

• Paid time-off: accrued at a rate of 40 hours in the first year, 80 hours in the second year, and 120 hours each year following;


• Medical Insurance: offered to each employee working 30+ hours/week.


• 401k retirement plan that matches up to 4% of the income you invest (eligible after one year of employment);


• Overtime pay for hours worked above 40 hours/week.
