New Job Opening: Architectural Designer in Midland, VA

Job Description

We have a client in the Midland, VA area seeking an Architectural Drafter / Structural Detailer to join their growing team. This position supports the design and production of precast concrete building products used in commercial and industrial construction projects.

Previous precast experience is a plus, but candidates with strong steel detailing, structural drafting, architectural drafting, miscellaneous metals, or other construction-related detailing experience are encouraged to apply.

You will be responsible for preparing and modifying shop drawings and production drawings for precast concrete products using AutoCAD. You will review architectural and structural drawings, coordinate with engineers, architects, and project teams, and ensure all technical details are accurately represented. This role also involves supporting production, maintaining project documentation, and assisting with drawing revisions and project deadlines.

This is a Temp to Permanent position that will be required to be fully in office.

Salary: $50,000 - $70,000 Depending on experience.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Architectural Drafter, Structural Drafter, CAD Drafter, or Detailer.


• Proficient in AutoCAD.


• Experience with precast concrete, structural steel, miscellaneous metals, architectural, structural, or other construction-related drafting/detailing.


• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.


• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, track deadlines, and coordinate with multiple teams.


• Revit experience is a plus, but not required.
