Commercial Lines Agent (Hybrid)

Job Summary

Seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Lines Agent to join a dynamic team. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in writing, servicing, and marketing commercial lines products. The position offers a hybrid work environment, competitive compensation, and the opportunity to work with multiple well-known carriers. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving sales and managing accounts, with a focus on contractors, electricians, plumbers, interior designers, family daycare providers, cargo, and freight accounts.

Compensation Package

• Base Salary: $55,000 – $60,000 annually + bonus opportunities

Responsibilities

• Write and service commercial lines insurance policies, achieving a monthly premium target of $50,000–$55,000 from agency-provided leads.


• Generate additional leads and build a personal book of business.


• Interpret contracts, including reviewing clauses, adding endorsements, and vetting prospects.


• Quote new and renewal business using Vertafore QQ Catalyst and Agency Zoom software.


• Collaborate with team members and attend client luncheons and meetings as required.


• Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service while managing client relationships.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Licensure: Active Property & Casualty (P&C) license is required.


• Experience:
  
  
  
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial lines insurance (10 years preferred).
  
  
  • Proven track record in sales and production, with the ability to meet and exceed premium targets.
  
  
  
  


• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Vertafore QQ Catalyst (Management System) and Agency Zoom (CRM).


• Knowledge: Strong understanding of commercial lines products and experience working with contractors, electricians, plumbers, interior designers, family daycare providers, cargo, and freight accounts.


• Other Requirements:
  
  
  
  • Ability to travel to the Manassas, VA office as needed.
