Commercial Lines Account Executive

Job Summary

Seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Lines Account Executive to join a team. This role involves managing a robust book of business, focusing on renewals, and providing exceptional service to a clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of commercial insurance products, risk management principles, and alternative risk financing strategies, including captive insurance programs.

Compensation Package

• Salary Range: $85,000 - $105,000 annually + bonus & commission opportunities

Responsibilities

• Manage a book of business with a premium size of $8-9 million, consisting of approximately 45 accounts.


• Focus on renewals, which constitute 85% of the workload, while also handling new business as needed.


• Serve clients across industries such as hospitality, wholesale, professional lines, main street businesses, and real estate.


• Collaborate with top carriers, including Cincinnati, Travelers, CHUBB, and Captive.


• Utilize the Applied EPIC agency management system to maintain accurate records and streamline processes.


• Provide expert advice on commercial insurance products and risk management strategies, including captive insurance programs.


• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and efficiency.


• Participate in minimal travel to meet with clients as required.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Proven experience in commercial insurance, with a strong understanding of risk management principles and alternative risk financing strategies.


• Familiarity with industries such as hospitality, wholesale, professional lines, main street businesses, and real estate.


• Proficiency in using the Applied EPIC agency management system or similar platforms.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.


• Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle a diverse portfolio of accounts.


• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment, with two days onsite and two days remote each week.
