Commercial Lines Account Manager

Job Summary

Seeking a dedicated and experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager to join a team. This role involves managing a diverse portfolio of commercial accounts, ensuring excellent client service, and maintaining strong relationships with carriers. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in handling commercial insurance accounts and a deep understanding of industry practices.

Compensation Package

• Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000 (based on experience and work arrangement)


• Bonus: Quarterly retention bonus, up to 10% of annual salary

Responsibilities

• Manage a book of business with approximately 100+ accounts, generating $400,000-$500,000 in revenue.


• Handle accounts ranging from $1,000 to $200,000 in premium, with an average account size of $50,000 in revenue.


• Maintain a balance of new (20%) and renewal (80%) accounts, with a goal of achieving a 50/50 split.


• Build and maintain strong relationships with key carriers, including Auto Owners, Cincinnati, and Selective.


• Serve a variety of industries, including municipalities, auto dealerships, BOPs, and gas stations.


• Utilize the AMS agency management system to manage accounts efficiently.


• Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless onboarding and account transitions.


• Provide exceptional customer service and address client inquiries promptly.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or GED required.


• Experience: Proven experience managing commercial insurance accounts, with a focus on generalist industries.


• Technical Skills: Proficiency in AMS or similar agency management systems preferred.


• Carrier Knowledge: Familiarity with Auto Owners, Cincinnati, and Selective carriers is highly desirable.


• Work Arrangement: Ability to work onsite 4 days per week, with flexibility for remote work based on location and qualifications.


• Soft Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
