Claims & Risk Management Support Leader

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Commercial Lines Claims Manager to lead a specialized support team within a growing Property & Casualty agency. This role is ideal for a claims professional who thrives on problem-solving, guiding clients through complex situations, and collaborating with carriers to achieve successful claim outcomes. As a key leader, you will oversee a small team, serve as a trusted resource for intricate claims advocacy, and contribute to the agency's operational excellence.

Compensation Package

• Base Salary: Up to $96,000, commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team comprising a Client Resource Coordinator and a Risk Management/OSHA Support Specialist.


• Act as the agency's primary internal expert on complex commercial claims matters.


• Advocate on behalf of clients and collaborate with carriers to resolve challenging claims issues.


• Provide guidance on large-loss, high-severity, and sensitive claims situations.


• Coordinate communication among clients, carriers, producers, and internal stakeholders.


• Oversee claims-related workflows, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution of issues.


• Maintain a high level of client satisfaction throughout the claims process.


• Support process improvement initiatives and contribute to the department's operational efficiency.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Extensive experience in Commercial Lines claims, either within an agency or on the carrier side.


• Proven expertise in handling or supporting large commercial accounts and complex claims scenarios.


• Strong understanding of commercial insurance coverages and claims processes.


• Prior leadership experience or a demonstrated interest in stepping into a leadership role.


• Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients, carriers, and internal teams.


• Industry experience in contractor, manufacturing, transportation, auto dealership, or similar sectors is highly valued.


• Familiarity with Applied Epic or other agency management systems is preferred.
