Insurance Placement Specialist

Job Summary

Seeking a highly skilled and motivated Insurance Placement Specialist to join a growing team. In this role, you will play a critical part in marketing and placing new commercial insurance business, collaborating with Risk Advisors, and managing carrier relationships. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to business growth while working in a values-driven, collaborative environment.

Compensation Package

• Salary Range: $75,000 - $98,000 base salary (commensurate with experience)

Responsibilities

• Market and place new commercial insurance business.


• Collaborate with Risk Advisors to develop market and coverage strategies.


• Manage carrier relationships and negotiate terms to secure optimal coverage.


• Review and validate carrier submissions, analyze quotes, and create marketing proposals.


• Ensure timely and accurate submissions, quotes, and proposals.


• Transition sold accounts to Account Managers and support sales/service teams.


• Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure compliance.


• Mentor and support newer team members in the marketing department.


• Attend training sessions and professional development activities.


• Maintain accurate records in agency management systems.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Education:
  
  
  
  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  
  
  
  


• Licensure:
  
  
  
  • Active Property & Casualty License required.
  
  
  • Professional insurance designations encouraged and supported.
  
  
  
  


• Experience:
  
  
  
  • Minimum of 5 years in commercial insurance, with a focus on marketing and placement.
  
  
  • Proven experience in carrier negotiations, coverage analysis, and quoting.
  
  
  • Strong background in customer service within the insurance industry.
