Team Leader Denmark – Sales & Collections

Location: Malta 

Overview:

Bank Di Mare Limited is a Private Credit Institution that operates under, and applies, the European Union Banking Regulatory Framework. The Bank is Licensed and Regulated by the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA) to operate outside Malta. The Bank has two lines of Products, Card/Store value and Micro-Lending. 

Our Office in Malta is our Head Office and has 300 days of sun during the year. Here you can find 250 employees of 16 different Nationalities. It is home to our board and our growing team of Finance, Debt Collections, Operations, HR, Sales, IT and Payments specialists. 

Job Description: 

We are looking for an experienced people leader to guide our Denmark Sales and Collections Team (<10 agents) within a growing lending market. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on leadership, customer care, performance management and building effective local market processes. Danish language skills are an advantage, but we are also open to strong Leadership Profiles without Danish Language Skills. 

Role: 

• Lead, Coach and Develop the Denmark Sales and Collections Team with a strong focus on performance, quality and customer experience.


• Drive sales performance, customer onboarding and document verification in line with the Bank’s policies and operational procedures.


• Own key sales and collections KPIs, including conversion rates, default rates, customer contact quality and collections outcomes.


• Support the development and execution of collections strategies while ensuring fair, compliant and customer-focused treatment.


• Monitor daily activity, targets and deadlines across both sales and collections, taking action where needed to improve results.


• Work closely with other Bank departments to ensure transparent and efficient collaboration.


• Ensure adherence to the Bank’s Code of Ethics, compliance standards and related policies.

Skills & Experience: 

You are a positive, structured and hands-on leader with strong communication skills and the confidence to guide our team. We welcome candidates with relevant leadership experience, a strong customer and performance mindset, and the motivation to help grow the Danish business from Malta. Danish language skills are welcome, but not a strict requirement. 

• Previous leadership experience, ideally in sales, collections, customer service, financial services or a performance-driven environment.


• Fluent English is required; Danish language skills are considered a strong advantage but are not mandatory.


• Ability to motivate, coach and manage a small team operating across both sales and collections activities.


• Commercial mindset with an understanding of KPIs, targets and performance follow-up.


• Customer-oriented approach with confidence handling sensitive customer situations professionally.


• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office for Windows; experience with customer databases is an advantage.

• Attention to detail, initiative and a high standard of work.


• Willingness to learn, improve processes and grow with the Danish market.
