Employee Benefits Account Executive

Job Summary

Seeking a highly motivated and experienced Account Executive to join a team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with large group self-funded accounts, ranging from 1,000 to 5,000 lives. The ideal candidate will bring a strong consultant-style approach, a deep understanding of self-funding, and the ability to deliver exceptional client service. This position provides the chance to build and lead a team, leveraging a robust suite of tools and resources to ensure success.

Compensation Package

• Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000 (commensurate with experience)


• Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package, including generous PTO


• Travel: Minimal travel required

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of large group self-funded accounts (1,000-5,000 lives).


• Provide expert consultation to clients, ensuring their needs are met with tailored solutions.


• Collaborate with financial managers, marketing underwriters, and other internal teams to deliver high-quality service.


• Oversee the quoting and renewal process for new and existing business.


• Utilize EPIC software to manage accounts and streamline workflows.


• Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.


• Stay informed about industry trends and regulatory changes to provide proactive advice to clients.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Licensure/Designations: Active Life & Health (L&H) license required.


• Experience:
  
  
  
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience managing large group self-funded accounts.
  
  
  • Proven track record of working with groups ranging from 1,000 to 5,000 lives.
  
  
  • Strong consultant-style approach with the ability to build lasting client relationships.
  
  
  
  


• Technical Skills: Proficiency in EPIC software preferred.


• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
