Retirement Plan Account Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced Retirement Plan Account Manager to manage client relationships, support plan administration and compliance, and lead employee education initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in qualified retirement plans, client relationship management, and presentations, with the ability to clearly explain complex financial concepts. Experience with retirement plan platforms, recordkeepers, or financial services organizations is a plus. Key Responsibilities

• Manage and develop relationships with retirement plan clients and plan sponsors


• Coordinate and prepare for annual client reviews and meetings


• Lead employee education meetings and provide one-on-one participant guidance


• Assist employees with questions regarding 401(k) loans, transfers, and retirement plan participation


• Support plan enrollments, compliance testing, and required government filings


• Set up and maintain retirement plans within vendor systems


• Review plan data and identify opportunities for plan improvements


• Conduct fund reviews and make recommendations based on client and participant needs


• Partner with leadership, internal teams, vendors, and external partners to support client service and business growth


• Prepare client presentations, reports, and educational materials


• Gather, audit, and maintain accurate client and plan documentation


• Ensure client communications and materials are clear, accurate, and compliant


• Assist with individual financial planning conversations, including areas such as life insurance, annuities, long-term care, and estate planning


• Participate in special projects and initiatives as needed

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in financial services and/or qualified retirement plans


• Experience working with retirement plan clients, plan sponsors, or participants preferred


• Strong experience conducting fund reviews and employee education meetings


• Experience with retirement plan administration and annual plan reviews is highly desirable


• Series 6 and Series 63 licenses, or willingness to obtain them within one year


• Strong client-facing and relationship management experience


• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills


• Strong presentation skills and the ability to explain complex financial information clearly


• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities


• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint


• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team


• Proactive, solutions-oriented approach to client service


• High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical standards
