Senior Product Manager, Device OS – Appliances

The Role

As Senior Product Manager, Device OS – Appliances, you’ll own the strategy and roadmap for the Appliance Platform — the foundational software and infrastructure that every appliance and application depends on.

You’ll be responsible for the full appliance lifecycle, from provisioning and configuration through to monitoring, updates, security and decommissioning.

Working closely with Engineering, Robotics, Infrastructure, Operations, Design and Customer teams, you’ll translate complex technical challenges and customer needs into a clear product vision and roadmap.

This is a highly strategic and technical product role, with significant ownership and the opportunity to shape how the platform scales and evolves.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the product strategy, vision and roadmap for the Appliance Platform.


• Lead the development of capabilities covering provisioning, configuration, software and firmware updates, version management and decommissioning.


• Drive improvements across fleet health, monitoring, uptime, diagnostics, remote management and alerting.


• Own platform capabilities including connectivity, edge services, hardware abstraction, observability and resilience.


• Develop intuitive operator experiences, including dashboards, configuration tools, reporting and diagnostics.


• Translate customer and internal stakeholder feedback into clear product requirements and priorities.


• Partner closely with Engineering, Robotics, Infrastructure, Design, Operations and Customer teams to deliver the roadmap.


• Balance customer requirements with long-term platform investment, scalability, security and operational reliability.


• Define and track product success through metrics including uptime, provisioning times, update success, MTTD/MTTR and remote resolution rates.


• Build a scalable platform that can support future appliances and applications.

Requirements

• 5+ years' experience in Product Management, ideally within technical or platform-focused products.


• Experience working with infrastructure, enterprise software, IoT, edge computing, cloud platforms or operating systems.


• Strong technical aptitude and confidence working closely with engineering teams.


• Experience managing complex products and translating technical challenges into clear product strategies.


• Strong understanding of product discovery, prioritisation, roadmap development and delivery.


• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.


• A track record of making effective product and commercial trade-offs.

Desirable Experience

• Robotics, industrial automation or connected devices.


• Fleet management, edge computing, networking or distributed systems.


• Enterprise SaaS products.
