Senior Commercial Lines Account Manager

Job Summary

Seeking a dedicated Senior Commercial Lines Account Manager to join a dynamic team. This position is integral in maintaining strong client relationships, managing accounts effectively, and ensuring all client needs are met with precision and professionalism. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in commercial lines insurance, a proactive approach, and excellent communication skills to work with clients and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage a book of business for commercial lines accounts, servicing clients from small businesses to large enterprises.


• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their unique needs and providing tailored insurance solutions.


• Collaborate with underwriters and negotiate terms to secure competitive pricing and coverage options.


• Process policy renewals, endorsements, and cancellations while ensuring accuracy and compliance with company and industry standards.


• Conduct thorough reviews of insurance policies to verify alignment with client expectations and identify additional coverage opportunities.


• Communicate policy changes, coverage options, and industry updates effectively to clients.


• Resolve complex client inquiries with speed, efficiency, and professionalism.


• Monitor accounts to ensure their accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with regulatory requirements.


• Mentor and support junior account management staff to foster professional growth within the department.


• Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and company activities to share insights, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.


• Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and carrier offerings to maintain an innovative approach to client service.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, insurance, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience; insurance certifications (e.g., CIC, CPCU) are a plus.


• 5+ years of experience in commercial lines account management within the insurance industry.


• Proven track record of successfully managing and growing client accounts in a fast-paced environment.


• In-depth knowledge of commercial insurance policies, carriers, and state regulations.


• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to interact effectively with a diverse group of clients and stakeholders.


• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.


• Proficiency in insurance management systems, tools, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).


• Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate sound judgment in decision-making.


• Holds an active P&C (Property and Casualty) insurance license.
