Job Description

The premier specialist in workers’ compensation and a leader in property and casualty insurance is seeking a Trial Attorney to join their growing team in Fresno, California! 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Handle highly complex workers' compensation cases under the state administrative process (trial level).


• Take depositions, analyze testimony, prepare and file related reports.


• Represent the Company in appearances at hearings and conferences; prepare and file related reports.


• Research and prepare highly complex pleadings for cases under the, state administrative process (trial level).


• Provide advice, training, and recommendations on case handling strategies and tactics to representatives of the Claims department.


• Perform legal research at all levels, from advising clients through the appellate procedures.

Education and/or Experience: 

• Juris Doctorate Law school graduate and member in good standing of the State Bar required


• 2+ Years as a Trial Attorney for legal defense of workers' compensation claims preferred


• Ability to communicate both orally and in writing, in an articulate, persuasive, precise and professional manner.


• Must be willing and able to travel using all means of public transportation, as well as automobile driving, to various California venues when live appearances are requested or required


• Valid Driver License in good standing 

Salary/Benefits:

• $95K-$120K/year (based on experience) + discretionary  bonus


• PTO: 3 weeks/year Vacation, 2 weeks/year Sick Leave
