Articularis Healthcare Group (AHG) is currently seeking a full-time New Patient Coordinator in our Montgomery, AL location.

The Position:


The New Patient Coordinator is the initial contact for each new patient and ensures that they are well prepared for their first visit by making certain patients are being seen by the appropriate physician and that patients arrive for their appointment with all pertinent information to ensure optimal care coordination (medical records, test results, referrals, copays). This position will also be cross trained and complete Patient Services Representative responsibilities when necessary. 



As a New Patient Coordinator, a typical day might look like:


Completing registration and obtaining insurance authorizations for new patients. Ensuring financial information/copy of insurance card is sent to the Billing Department. Obtaining pertinent medical records before date of appointment for new patients. Scheduling physician appointments for new patients. Reviewing incoming referrals and collecting patient demographics. Answering patient questions and concerns.




This job might be for you if:


* You have an Associates degree with 2 years or work experience in a customer service role


* You have (1) year experience working in a medical/clinical setting


* You have a working knowledge of computers


* You work well in a team environment but also can work independently


* You do well with multi-tasking


* You enjoy communicating with others via phone, email, in person, etc.


* You have experience working with an EMR
