Hearth & Home Technologies is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Fireplaces Business Unit in Mt. Pleasant, IA. We are the nation’s leading manufacturer and supplier of hearth products, including a wide variety of gas, electric, wood and pellet burning fireplaces, inserts, stoves, and accessories. Headquartered in Lakeville, Minnesota, with distribution around the world, our innovative approach is supported by a business unit structure that allows us to develop and market products with a strong focus on customers’ needs.
The Fireplaces Business Unit is one of our key business units within Hearth & Home Technologies, featuring leading brands such as Heat & Glo, Majestic, Heatilator, and more.
This position has core hours of Monday through Thursday, 6:00AM – 4:20PM.

Key Responsibilities
- Leads manufacturing side of new product launches for a $157M business.
- Develops manufacturing processes and bill of material product costing for launching new product
- Improves ergonomics of new process for launching new product
- Initiates and implements poke-yokes and processes related to new product quality.
- Initiates and implements projects related to process improvements including automation for new product launches
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 4 years of related experience
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite, primarily Excel, Project, Outlook and AutoCAD
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles

Work Environment
- Primarily in a Manufacturing facility with split focus between an office environment and the production floor.
- Periodic work outside core business hours may be required during key business projects and less than 10% travel.
