New Product Development Manufacturing Engineer

Description

• Leads manufacturing side of new product launches for a $157M business.
• Develops manufacturing processes and bill of material product costing for launching new product
• Improves ergonomics of new process for launching new product
• Initiates and implements poke-yokes and processes related to new product quality.
• Initiates and implements projects related to process improvements including automation for new product launches  

• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 4 years of related experience
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite, primarily Excel, Project, Outlook and AutoCAD
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles

• Must be organized, ability to prioritize, and manage multiple tasks and projects.
• Ability to influence and adapt to continuous improvement driven change.
• Proven project leadership
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and think strategically
• Work with cross functional teams and leaders
• Ability to exceed customer expectations

• Primarily in a Manufacturing facility with split focus between an office environment and the production floor. 
• Periodic work outside core business hours may be required during key business projects and less than 10% travel.
