Job Description - New Start Pest Technician - Hillsborough County

As a New Start Pest Technician, you will be responsible for conducting pest control services for new clients, ensuring a pest-free environment for their properties. This role involves inspecting, identifying, and implementing pest control measures to address various pest issues. The New Start Pest Technician plays a critical role in establishing positive relationships with clients and promoting a healthy living or working environment.



Key Responsibilities:



  1. Inspection and Assessment:

    • Conduct thorough inspections of clients' properties to identify pest issues and potential risks.

    • Assess the extent of infestations and determine the appropriate pest control measures.



  2. Treatment and Extermination:

    • Implement effective pest control measures, including the application of pesticides, traps, and other relevant methods.

    • Safely and responsibly use chemicals and tools to exterminate and control pests.



  3. Client Communication:

    • Communicate with clients to explain the pest control process, the identified issues, and the recommended solutions.

    • Provide information on preventive measures to avoid future infestations.



  4. Documentation:

    • Maintain detailed records of pest control activities, including the type of pests, treatment methods used, and follow-up recommendations.

    • Prepare and submit reports to clients and the company on a regular basis.



  5. Customer Service:

    • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing client concerns, answering questions, and providing professional and courteous service.

    • Schedule follow-up visits to monitor the effectiveness of pest control treatments.



  6. Adherence to Regulations:

    • Stay informed about local and state regulations related to pest control.

    • Adhere to safety guidelines and industry standards in the application of pest control methods.



  7. Equipment Maintenance:

    • Maintain and ensure the proper functioning of pest control equipment.

    • Report any equipment issues and coordinate with the maintenance team for repairs or replacements.



  8. Continuous Learning:

    • Stay updated on the latest pest control techniques, products, and industry trends.

    • Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.




Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in pest control is a plus.

  • Strong communication and customer service skills.

  • Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time and resources.

  • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality pest control services.

  • Must be able to work in Pinellas & Hillsborough counties

Compensation



  • Salary: $17/hr + production and bonuses 

  • Average first year earning potential $46,000-$54,000 (no cap on production)

  • You will have a company vehicle to take home (for business use)
