Next Gen Associate

Overview:

We are seeking a passionate, flexible, and team-oriented Interim Next Gen Associate to help lead and support our Next Gen Ministries during a transitional season. This role will primarily provide leadership to Grace Student Ministries (middle & high school) and offer collaborative support to Grace Kids (birth–5th grade). The ideal candidate loves Jesus, loves the next generation, and brings a strong administrative and relational presence to the team.

Key Responsibilities:

Youth Ministry (Primary Responsibility):

• Provide weekly leadership for Grace Student Ministries gatherings, including Sunday night programming.


• Plan and lead large-group teaching, small-group discussions, and student engagement activities.


• Encourage and develop volunteer leaders, ensuring they are equipped and supported.


• Build healthy relationships with students and parents, fostering connection and care.


• Help plan and oversee special events, such as retreats, outreach nights, or student-serving opportunities.


• Maintain communication with parents, volunteers, and students through church channels (email, social media, etc.).


• Collaborate with the Next Gen Pastor on vision, curriculum, and discipleship strategy.

Kids Ministry (Support Role):

• Provide administrative or event-based support to Grace Kids, particularly on Sundays and during special events.


• Assist with scheduling, communication, or check-in systems as needed.


• Step in with occasional leadership or teaching in elementary ministry when needed.

Ideal Candidate Will:

• Have experience working or volunteering in youth and/or kids ministry.


• Be passionate about leading students into a deeper relationship with Jesus.


• Be relational, organized, and adaptable in a fast-paced ministry setting.


• Be a strong communicator and team player.


• Be spiritually mature, humble, and willing to serve in a supporting and temporary capacity.

Requirements:

• A growing relationship with Jesus Christ and a heart for the local church.


• Alignment with the mission, values, and beliefs of Grace Fellowship Church.


• Availability to serve Sundays, prep mid-week, and attend staff meetings as required.


• Background check clearance required.
